London’s newest symphony orchestra takes centre stage at Sloane Square

  • New London Harmonia to perform for first time on Saturday 30 November

  • Inspired by new beginnings, the ensemble will take on a ‘New World’ themed programme

  • First in a series of concerts featuring experimental choices and adventurous collaborations

New London Harmonia, a brand new, non-professional orchestra of highly talented London musicians will host their debut concert at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square, on Saturday 30 November.

Led by artistic director, Oi Ching Chan, the concert will take on a ‘New World’ themed programme; covering Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite, and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9.

This will be the first of many concerts bringing quality classical music to venues across London, with the orchestra planning to perform a diverse repertoire of material from both classic and modern composers alongside adventurous collaborations with artists. New London Harmonia has also been recently granted charitable status.

Artistic Director Oi Ching Chan said:

“Bringing together a group of extraordinarily talented and creative musicians has been a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to perform our ‘New World’ programme. All our concerts will explore a range of genres and composers, in a style you won’t find in any other non-professional orchestra in London.”

Chair of New London Harmonia Carolyn Kirwin said:

“New London Harmonia is the most exciting new orchestra in the capital, with a stellar line-up of some of the most talented non-professional musicians anywhere in the UK. Whether you are a fan of classical music, or have never been to a concert before, I would urge you to come along and experience what we have to offer”
